Tuesday, Cohort 2, Week 6
This was our final week working with the students, and I'm very excited because we were able to finish our project. Today we completed voice overs with the kids and did all the final editing. Those students who were not doing voice overs were on the computers in a program called Tux Paint, creating a graffiti wall with a message about bullying on it. We asked them to write any piece of advice they would give to someone about bullying. We then were able to watch the video with the kids and they loved seeing themselves up on the screen! This time the voice overs worked much better because we had the other kids on the computers with headphones so it was much quieter in the room. We were able to quickly finish the voice overs that we had left. This experience taught me so much about teaching and confirmed that I am in exactly the right profession. I am so excited to continue working with the children in the Bozeman elementary schools and look forward to gaining as much experience as possible before I begin teaching. I am grateful to have had this opportunity to work with children while teaching them about technology and learning more about technology myself!
