Thursday, week 4, cohort 2

Week 4

 For week 4 we had many kids who had not been there the week prior.We ended up split the kids into groups. We had one group with their posters done who were ready to take pictures, and the other group still needing to make posters.  I had the kids who were ready to take pictures.  First the kids and I discussed where they thought they would like to take the pictures that would best represent their posters.  The kids came up with taking them on the playground.  Some of the students took individual pictures some of the students took group pictures.  The pictures turned out great and the kids had a blast with it.  The only thing I would change about it would be how kids decided to take the pictures.  What I mean is that while we were outside some of the kids did a lot of fooling around and I think setting a time limit for how long we have to take the pictures would work better.  Next week we will be taking the rest of the pictures.  The kids who have already taken pictures will get the chance to play around with iMovie and learn about editing and transitions and how to put music into it.  Then at the end of the day we will take a group video with music with the kids dancing to the music.  I can't wait to work on the iMovie side of the project with the kids I think they will really enjoy using it.
