Thursday, April 4th Hyalite Cohort 2 4th Visit
This visit was a great experience in things I would do again and things I would not do again. This visit was one that had us splitting up our kids into 2 different groups. As Katie took a group of students outside for pictures, Ingrid and I stayed inside to help students who had not had a chance to finish or even make a poster for their project. I can see where experience is a great teacher for teachers when creating lesson plans. It is really the only way to know if something is going to work or not. Although our day was a success, I would have much rather had it flow a little differently. Also, since this was our 4th visit, some of the students wanted to test their boundaries a little bit more as they were getting more comfortable with us. This did not bother me though because I enjoy the challenge of getting to know students as much as they are getting to know me. This includes what buttons of mine and theirs get pushed and how we each handle it. Next week will be a lot of fun filming. I am looking forward to it!
