Tuesday, Cohort 2, Week 5

This week in tech club we had the students each draw a picture of a letter so that together all the kids spelled out "Stop Bullying Now!!" We then had them take a group photograph all holding their signs so we could put that into the movie. Next, we did a group voice over for this slide. Getting organized for this picture took a little more time than we thought but it looked great once we got it done! It was fun to see the kids all together with their group sign.
Drawing the pictures worked really well with the kids because they were all excited to create their own letter and decorate it however they wanted. The only thing that was challenging was getting the kids organized for the photo so we could see all of them. We were lucky to have Beth, the after school program coordinator, come in and help us organize the photo and get it taken. This taught me that classroom management takes practice and experience. I am excited to continue visiting the schools so I can learn more about classroom management and get more experience!
