For week three we had the children make their posters. We gave the students the option of doing it either on the Mac laptops using TuxPaint or drawing it by hand. Originally it looked as though half of the students wanted to draw out their poster but this week all but two of the kids wanted to do it on the computer. As none of us had ever used Tuxpaint we all played around with it before class. The program was pretty easy to figure out and the kids all seemed to know what they were doing for the most part Then we taught the kids how to take a picture of part of their screen so that we could save their work that way. The students all thought this was pretty cool and wanted to try it themselves and then helped out others too. The day could not have gone better the kids all responded well to our activity and seemed to really enjoy using TuxPaint. Next week we will start the filming and the kids are pretty excited, and we are too.
