We continued with our script and I started the discussion with personal stories of how each of us helped another person. Since our rule is how to help others who are bullied we talked about helping others. the students were able to grab the computers and get started on making the comic strip. I assigned three groups to have each group take a part of the story: beginning, middle, and end. With the intent of having the students work together on creating part of the story. I did have a child that was having difficulty using the computer with another person. He just was so frustrated because he had preconceived notions that he was in control of the process and I'm excited to see him overcome that notion and begin to see how to work together with others.
One struggle I have is the amount of children that leave continuously through out the lesson. It's a challenge to work around, but it's a good challenge to be able to learn how to accommodate and quickly change instruction no matter what comes along. I also really wish I had more instruction and classes on technology cause I feel so old school and not up to date. I'm excited to get there but it's a little scary cause it's unknown, I hope my excitement exceeds my fear.
